Despite being responsible for a number of REALLY bad movies over the years (see “Little Nicky”, “Joe Dirt”, and “Click” just to mention a few) it could be argued that Adam Sandler has been responsible for a lot more hits than misses.

His hits obviously include “Happy Gilmore”, “Bedtime Stories” and “The Wedding Singer” but his his new vehicle “Hotel Transylvania” is of the animated variety – and it’s good…really good.

And don’t just take my word for it – I’m not the only one who believes that.  Last weekend “Hotel Transylvania” was #1 at the box office taking in over $42-million.  I took the kids to it last night and as funny as it was for them – I laughed my butt off just as hard – maybe harder!

Sandler as Dracula is great, Selena Gomez plays his daughter and she’s great too, but acting certainly isn’t a departure for her thanks to “Wizards of Waverly Place” among other things.

However, Steve Buscemi as Werewolf stole the film for me and I believe it was an act of casting genious!

I don’t know why he doesn’t lend his voice to more animated works because his tone and delivery are perfect.

Here’s the trailer for “Hotel Transylvania”…

There’s a good plot, great animation and wonderful voice work.  While there are a couple of parts that may make the youngest of the young jump – overall it’s pretty tame; especially considering the fact that it’s FULL of monsters, ghouls, goblins and skeletons!

Very funny, I hope you enjoy!
