To be fair, there is a tremendous amount of talent on this year’s edition of The X Factor.  This is especially true with the women in the competition and the best of those is CeCe Frey.  If you don’t believe me, have a listen.

To be honest, she rubbed me (and many others) the wrong way right from the get go.  She was REALLY arrogant and stand-offish during her first audition and I’m sure part of that is the show’s producers doing – but it was still there.

Then she started singing “Unchained Melody” and it was weak at best.  No-one (including the judges) got it, so…they called her out on it and asked if she had anything else.  Oh she had something else alright.  CeCe then NAILED Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man.”  Have a look at her first audition (attitude included)…

Then, as the competition moved on and things heated up between Frey and Rhianna look-alike Paige Thomas, she left no doubt about her singing ability when she sang Whitney Houston’s impossibly-hard “I Will Always Love You” at boot camp.  Following Thomas who sang it pretty well, Frey blew the roof off the place…watch…

Then, just when I thought she couldn’t get any better she sang for Demi Lovato at the judges homes last night.  Wow.  Not only did she show that her “tough girl” exterior that she had been displaying was just an act and that she really was a vulnerable young lady, but then she announced what song she was going to sing.

“I’m Sexy and I know it” by LMFAO.”  Huh??  What song did you say??

Honestly the look on Nick Jonas’ face was priceless.  I’m sure that mine was the same.  And then she sang.  If you didn’t see it, I doubt you will believe your ears…

She will win.  CeCe Frey will be the X Factor winner.  If she doesn’t, something will have gone horribly wrong between now and the finale.  Either way – whether she wins or not – this girl will be a big star someday and it will be fun to watch.
