Every once in a while we come across a story that proves how powerful the human spirit truly is, and this is one of them.

This weekend, the TV network Comedy Central will be airing a “Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism” and this is a segment from the show that is both heartwarming, heartbreaking and exceptionally uplifting.

It’s the story of Jodi DiPiazza who is one of Katy Perry’s biggest fans.  She’s also a sweet little girl who has autism.  Thanks to the tremendous spirit and support of her family she is determined to persevere and defeat any obstacles in her way.

Thanks to a special education and therapy program, her life has gone from the unknown – to the unstoppable.

Take the time to listen to her story, and have some tissues ready for her beautiful live performance with her idol Katy Perry…

Perry was obviously moved by the performance.  So much so that she tweeted, “I will never forget last night. It was the most important moment thus far of what I do.”

No doubt.  Sounds like Katy Perry has everything in perspective.
