Justin Timberlake, 31, and Jessica Biel, 30, tied the knot on Friday in southern Italy, during an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family.

“It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends,” the couple tells PEOPLE.

The festivities started earlier in the week, when a pre-party — including tents and a huge fireworks display — was held on beach in Puglia on Wednesday evening. That same night, JT’s fellow *NSYNC-er Chris Kirkpatrick tweeted a photo of alcohol shots along with the telling caption “Birfday shots before Italy.” *NSYNC reunion! Aww!

Justin’s friends Andy Samberg and Timbaland were also spotted in town, along with Jessica’s “7th Heaven” costar Beverley Mitchell.

This is the first marriage for both hotties who’ve been together on and off since 2007. JT finally popped the question while on vacation over the Holidays last year.
