The Oscar Mixup Everyone Is Talking About

The 89th annual Academy Awards went off last night without a hitch. Until the award for Best Picture that is.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty were announcing the winner for Best Picture and both looked confused. Why? Because Beatty had the wrong envelope. For some reason Beatty had the envelope for Best Actress (which was won by Emma Stone earlier). Neither looked like they realized the envelope was the wrong one. When they announced Best Picture, they announced La La Land … but the true winner was actually Moonlight.

While slightly awkward, Jimmy Kimmel tried his best to make light of the situation. We think he did a great job as host, and fixer-upper.
