One of our favourite artists is Andy Grammer! His music is part a of your perfect music mix! Hits like “Honey I’m Good”, “Good To Be Alive”, “Back Home”, and “Keep Your Head Up”

Andy is coming off a great show this past week in Toronto! Andy started his career as a busker. Performing and selling his music on the streets, just for extra exposure.

Andy recently revelaled his tips to get noticed as a street busker! Some great tips if you have an aspiring singer-songwriter in the family.

If the kids want to perform, make sure you’re supervising!

1. Work out a unique cover song. Original songs won’t garner as much attention.

2. Once you have a group of 10 or people, get them pumped and cheering.

3. Location. Corners with a lot of traffic are great for getting people to notice you!

4. Make a tip jar that encourages people to purchase CDs on their own while you’re playing.

5. Make sure you have a professional setup, tables, chairs, rugs, string lights. It garners more attention.

6. Build friendships with other performers, try to collaborate on performances!

7. Short sets, perform a couple of songs, and leave them wanting more.

8. Don’t beg. Begging puts a damper on the street party.

9. Get there early so you can grab a great spotz It’s usually first come first serve.

10. It’s about your fans and listeners! Ask them what they thought of your music, and go back to the drawing board.
