Good Samaritan of the Week Award
Do you know an outstanding individual? Someone who has had an impact in the lives of others? This inspirational person has shown leadership, commitment, and initiative. Their countless hours of volunteering makes a difference in the community.
This week's Good Samaritan is MaryAnn Lorentz. Mary is a nurse by trade and uses that ability to provide nursing services to the region's Out of the Cold program. She's also involved in several other charitable works, including food basket delivery for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and other work for her church. One of her own children is afflicted with Down Syndrome, so MaryAnn dedicates even more of her time to helping out groups of children with Down Syndrome, taking them to various attractions and events.
