Celebrates Another Successful Year!
The 4th Annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon held on Friday April 3, 2009 raised an amazing $210,406 (and counting) in support of programs and services at KidsAbility. The Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon was broadcast live from Conestoga Mall from 6am-6pm, on 96.7 CHYM FM with hosts George & Tara; on KIX 106.7 with Jennifer Campbell, Linda Martelli, Neil Beaumont and Bill Hart; on 570 NEWS with Jeff Allan on Rogers TV & daytime with Susan Cook-Scheerer.
Parents, therapists, staff, board and volunteers shared their stories of hope and triumphs made possible through KidsAbility. Numerous volunteers helped out throughout the day.
Listeners and viewers responded generously by calling in donations or by visiting the mall. Those who dropped into Conestoga Mall enjoyed live entertainment.
Local politicians Elizabeth Witmer, MPP, Mayor of Waterloo Brenda Halloran, Mayor of Kitchener Carl Zehr and Councillor Kelly Galloway were also on hand to answer phones and show their support.
To everyone who helped to make our Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon so successful. Thank you! Your support will assist us in providing life changing services to children with disabilities in Waterloo Region and Wellington County at our sites in Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and Fergus. Thank you for making a difference in the life of a child.
