Thank-you for providing Shelter from the Storm -- you can still donate.  Visit Shelter from the Storm online by CLICKING HERE.

Did you know that every year approximately 100,000 women and children in Canada seek refuge in a shelter for abused women? Or that up to 360,000 children in Canada witness abuse in their home? That one to two women die as a result of domestic violence every week?

Did you know that together we can end violence against women?

Support Shelter from the Storm, the Canadian Women’s Foundation’s national campaign dedicated to ending violence against women. Funds raised support shelters for abused women and violence prevention programs across Canada.

Life in a Women's Shelter (a daily journal) - It can be devastating and at the same time it can be the first step toward a better life.  It can be the decision that is life changing.  Without a doubt—this is a time of turmoil—there are so many emotions happening all at once—and often those emotions are fighting against each other.  It can literally be the best of times and the worst of times all at the same time.  A daily journal written by Lynne, Executive Director of a shelter in Ontario.

Why donate? We encourage you to take 5 minutes and watch this touching video on why the Shelter from the Storm campaign exists.
