HOW TO TELL IF YOUR NEWBORN WILL BE RIGHT-HANDED OR LEFT-HANDED
If you want to know whether your newborn will be right-handed or left-handed, here’s a way to tell that is almost fool-proof:
-If the baby’s hair swirls clockwise, there’s a 95% chance that the person is right-handed. The curls of lefties and the ambidextrous are equally likely to coil either way.
-Researchers from the National Cancer Institute in Frederick, Maryland have determined that one gene might control both hair swirl direction and handedness and in the process explain the divided brain. That has geneticists hunting for a single gene with either “right” or “random” forms. Those who have one or two copies of the “right” version of the gene would be right-handed and have hair that swirls clockwise. Those who have two “random” versions of the gene could be either right- or left-handed and have hair that swirls in either direction.

CRIB RECALL CANADA IN LISA'S CAST
Thousands of cribs are being recalled in Canada because their design and construction puts babies at risk.
Health Canada is recalling Graco-brand (GRAY-CO) drop-side cribs manufactured by LaJobi.
The cribs are of wooden construction with metal mattress supports and a drop side.
The recalled models are Hampton Drop Side Hickory Model 3080136 and Sarah Drop Side Espresso Model 3000136.
The drop side of the crib can break or detach, creating a dangerous gap between the crib mattress and dropped side.
A retrofit kit will be available to consumers that makes all four sides of the crib stationary.
