You can soon have wireless charging capabilities in your living room. Ikea will soon offer furniture equipped with pads that charge mobile devices. More than 80 devices are compatible with the “Qi” technology, but the iPhone is not. Ikea will be selling special cases so that iPhones can also be charged on its products. The furniture will need to be plugged into a power source to charge, and will run customers about 22 dollars more each than a standard item. Qi technology is already available in hotels, restaurants, airports and Starbucks branches all over the country. Would you ever consider buying a piece of this special furniture for your home?
