Nicki Minaj opened the show with a 9 minute performance that featured Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and David Guetta!

Introduced by her father Billy Ray and sister Noah, Miley Cyrus sang her brand new single, ‘Malibu’

For the first time on television, Camila Cabello performed her Sia-assisted debut single, ‘Crying in the Club’.

Ed Sheeran, the man behind one of the biggest songs of the year, ‘Shape of You’ took the Billboard stage and sung, ‘Castle on the Hill’ all the way from Chile!

The always funky Bruno Mars got the audience dancing with his performance of, Versace on the Floor.

The show also featured performances from two icons: Celine Dion and Cher.

Celine took the Billboard stage to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her hit song, ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from the movie Titanic.

Cher was honoured with the ICON award (an honour that went to Celine last year). She performed for the first time in over 15 years at an award show.

The icon, who turned 71 years old a few days ago performed If I Could Turn Back Time and Believe.

The show also featured performances from The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Florida Georgia Line, John Legend, Sam Hunt, Lorde, Imagine Dragons and Julia Michaels.
