Brady and Tara- Don Henley- Boys Of Summer

Don Henley “Boys of Summer”! Reminds us of high school summers heading to the lake with friends every chance we got… beach bags filled with Coppertone, Clearly Canadian and Sun-In… this song blaring on our cassette stereos as we hit the highway. Still on every summer road trip playlist we ever make!

Sandra- TIE! John Cougar Mellancamp- Hurts So Good and Kim Mitchell Patio Lanterns

I’m going to go with John Mellencamp Hurts So Good although, I think it’s tied with Kim Mitchell’s Patio Lanterns.
There hasn’t been a Summer event that these songs haven’t been a part of.
I mean, when you hear the first two seconds of Hurts So Good – you know! And, for me it’s insta smile and insta wiggle ( I can’t dance so I wiggle). It makes me think of laughing late night playing Yahtzee with my husband and my dad on his boat and it makes me think of hilarity and good times with friends.
You know what? I’m going to listen to it right now, followed by Patio Lanterns and Till I am myself again by Blue Rodeo. Maybe with a Caesar in my hand, too!

Adele- Anything from The Tragically Hip!

The odds are very high that you’ll see Adele chilling by her pool, taking in the sounds of Gord Downie and The Hip!

Will Menzies- Bob Marley- Stir It Up

Brady and Tara took my original choice, but there are so many great summertime songs. This one is tied with the Boys of Summer. Whenever I hear Marley, I think of relaxing on the beach, with an adult beverage in my hand, with no cares in the world! The Power of Bob Marley! If you’re having some drinks on the deck, or on the gazebo with family and friends, crank this one up!
